FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know before getting in touch.
- If you are aged 18–30 and live, study, or are looking for work in Kent, Medway, Greenwich or Lewisham, you are eligible for our free support. You do not need any qualifications, previous work experience, or anyone from a school or Job Centre to sign you up. Anyone in this age range and area can join.
- No — everything we offer to young people is completely free. Pilot 2 Work CIC is a registered social enterprise and every penny of profit is reinvested back into our programmes. There are no fees, no subscriptions, and no hidden charges at any stage.
- Absolutely — this is actually one of the most common starting points. Our EddyAI FLOW coaching begins with a structured exploration of your strengths, interests, and values before any job searching. Many of the young people we work with say that figuring out the right direction was the most valuable part of the process.
- There is no fixed time limit. Most young people complete a structured coaching programme of six to twelve weeks, after which many continue to use our job matching tools and check-in support. We will not close your case the moment you get a job offer — we want to make sure the placement is actually working for you.
- We have a dedicated Neurodiversity Coaching stream specifically designed for young people who think or learn differently. You do not need a formal diagnosis. If you feel that standard career advice has not worked for you in the past, please tell us — we will make sure your support is adapted accordingly. EddyAI FLOW is built on neurodiversity-affirming practice.
- That is absolutely fine — we actively welcome young people with English as an Additional Language. EddyAI FLOW materials are available in plain, accessible English, and the system is designed to support language development alongside career skills. You do not need to be fluent in English to access our programmes.
- No. Our Pilot 4 Justice programme is specifically designed for young people in this situation. We can help you understand what you do and do not need to disclose under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and connect you with employers who are committed to fair-chance hiring. Everything is handled in strict confidence.
- Tap 'Get started' at the top of this page and tell us a bit about yourself — it takes about 2 minutes. If you would rather talk to us first, use the form on our Contact page or email info@pilot2work.org. We aim to respond within two working days.
- We currently support young people across Kent, Medway, Greenwich, and Lewisham, including Chatham, Maidstone, Gravesham, and Swale. EddyAI FLOW sessions can be delivered in-person at our Chatham office or remotely by video call — whichever works best for you.
